“The Edible Garden” – Windham Garden Club April Open Meeting

Do you want to grow vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers and incorprate them into delicious meals for your family nad friends? The Windham Garden Club invites you to join our April meeting on Thursday, April 16 at 7:00pm, at the Windham Town Hall. Come learn how you can have your garden and eat it, too!

We’ll begin with a brief business meeting, followed by our featured speaker, Liz Barbour, presenting “The Edible Garden.” Chef Liz Barbour of The Creative Feast is an avid home gardener and cook who often uses her own fresh herbs and edible flowers in her recipes. Her cottage-style garden mixes fruits and vegetables with edible and non-edible ornamentals in a variety of ways. Learn how to design your own edible garden and ways in which you can incorporate home grown plants into your meals. Garden design ideas and recipe ideas will be shared.

Liz is the author of Beautifully Delicious: Cooking with Herbs & Edible Flowers and her gardens have been featured in New Hampshire Magazine, New Hampshire Home, New Hampshire Chronicle and Colorado Home.
